
Hosting discussion groups online was all textual in the early days of the internet. Hosts chose specific topics and facilitated as text scrolled like an ongoing script. They lasted one or two hours. Hosts welcomed each person and managed numerous conversations at the same time – and that didn’t include private instant messaging. Serious disrupters were bounced out of the discussions.
OMNI Magazine. As OMNI Sage on America Online and then on OMNI Magazine’s website, she hosted a chat on metaphysical topics. (1996-1997)
The Writer’s Club. As Playleft on American Online, she managed the hosts of over 30 chat groups and led one of her own. (1997-2001)
Parascope. As PRSP Sage on America Online, she hosted a weekly chat on metaphysical topics. (1997-2002)
The Meaning of Life. As Lailu Loon on Second Life, topics covered a wide range of philosophical topics. (2007-2009)
